Transforming the way you live and work in the world

Mind Body Coaching:

Integration and Support Groups

These on-going groups are designed for participants who have completed the Healing Chronic Pain and Stress program, and would like to deepen and integrate their learning and experiences from the course.

Groups will meet through a virtual video platform for 8 sessions, twice a month for 90 minute groups.

Each week will have a theme and review of one of the key areas taught in the Healing Chronic Pain and Stress Program. Ample time will be allotted to address individual needs in a group coaching setting. Each person will be able to focus on whatever is compelling or important to them that week, in addition to the week’s theme. The goal is that each participant will be able to work on specific areas that they want to heal more deeply or learn more about, or to gain support in applying these tools and skills in work with their clients. Resources will also be emailed before and after each group.

In a supportive environment, participants will:

  • Continue to explore and experience how thoughts, emotions, body awareness, and psycho-physical habits affect your nervous system, stress, chronic pain and somatic symptoms

  • Review specific skills to increase awareness, decrease pain,
change neural pain pathways, and lessen anxiety and stress
  • Deepen their understanding of neuroscience that supports this Mind Body approach
  • Experience coaching that addresses Anxiety, Mind Body Syndrome Pain and Somatic Symptoms
  • Explore their relationship of trauma and high sensitivity to pain, somatic symptoms, stress and overwhelm, or with their clients
  • Experience the integration of Gestalt principles and practices with recent neuroscience and Mind Body Coaching
  • Receive ongoing support, guidance and resources for their own growth and healing journey

These groups are for graduates of the Healing Chronic Pain and Stress Program who would like to build on their learning from the program while receiving individualized coaching in a group setting. They are designed for individuals as well as practitioners who would like to integrate this approach in their work with clients.

“The virtual class was an excellent way to reach participants who cannot travel but want the learning.”

2013 Participant

“I participated in the Mind-Body Coaching program last
year and followed with a series of individual coaching conversations with Melanie. Although the reference to ‘dealing with chronic pain’ is what initially caught my eye, that was but a small part of her impact and my reward. Melanie’s deep, calming expertise combined with her caring use-of-self in a way that instilled better understanding and capacity for handling my own pain and inner turmoil. It also reminded my body and soul of how much better I am as a practitioner and person when I take the time to be still and listen.”
