Developing Presence, Insight, and Skills for
High-Impact Interventions with the Cape Cod Model:
An Introduction

In this short workshop, we will introduce you to the concepts and practice of the Cape Cod Model, an optimistic, highly-effective intervention model developed at GISC and used around the world.

The Cape Cod Model goes beyond positive psychology or strengths-based practice by engaging the competence of the client or client system and facilitating the power of awareness as a foundation for change.

Workshop & Open House are free but you must register by March 1
to reserve your space.

Participants will learn:

  • The concept of "Well-developed/Less-developed" and its application in clinical practice.
  • A method for seeing couples and families as a co-created system.
  • The use of Awareness and Contact as powerful intervention tools.
  • How the Paradoxical Theory of Change can be used as a potent means of supporting growth and development for clients.
  • Whether you have Gestalt experience or not, this workshop offers insights that can boost your effectiveness while generating renewed enthusiasm for your practice.

This workshop is appropriate for psychotherapists, counselors, social workers, clinicians, and other mental health professionals.

“I recently took
a two-day ‘Introduction to the Cape Cod Model’. We had a small group of five learners and a
very wise and experienced facilitator who took us through the syllabus in a masterful way. It was two days of thought-stretching contemp-lation of my consulting and counseling style, and has whet my appetite for taking more courses and learning more about the Cape
Cod Model. It was well worthwhile!”
