Workforce Training Fund 

Massachusetts employees and organizations with 100 or fewer employees – can get up to 100% reimbursement on program tuition (up to $3,000 per person, per program) through the Massachusetts Workforce Training Fund Express Grant program. Organizations with up to 50 Massachusetts employees at the time of application can qualify for up to 100% program tuition reimbursement. Organizations with 51 to 100 Massachusetts employees at the time of the application can qualify for up to 50% program tuition reimbursement.

This reimbursement is available to all Massachusetts for-profit organizations with fewer than 100 employees in good standing and to nonprofits that pay into the Workforce Training Fund through payroll unemployment contributions. 

A company with headquarters outside of Massachusetts may also apply for training funds, provided that all employees to be trained work in Massachusetts (i.e. payroll taxes are paid to Massachusetts). Individual trainees are not required to live in Massachusetts, but Massachusetts must be their primary work place and payroll taxes must be paid to Massachusetts for all trainees.

Competency Development Program for Coach Certification (Live-Online)

Gain the skills, confidence, and certification needed to help yourself and others succeed. The program consists of four sessions of theory, discussion, and extensive coaching practice. Formal sessions are supplemented with additional opportunities for participants to practice their skills, share concepts with their peers, and work with a qualified faculty/ mentor coach one-on-one.

The program also includes a full day of interactive work to assist participants in establishing their own coaching practices. It meets the ICF requirement for live interaction instruction on core competencies and ethical standards. Successful completion of the program earns the GISC Coach Certificate and qualifies graduates to apply for an ICF credential.

Women's Leadership Series - Session 1: Imposter Syndrome and Self-Doubt (Boston)

Self-doubt can halt your career advancement and lead to career dissatisfaction, compensatory overwork, and burnout. Self-doubt has two main drivers: internal sources like imposter syndrome and external sources like gaslighting. Being able to differentiate these underlying causes is critical to avoiding the trap of blaming yourself for externally generated self-doubt and moving toward through imposter feelings to self-confidence.

In this workshop, we will discuss examples and strategies that are effective in understanding and quieting the doubt that imposter syndrome fuels. This session will be interactive. When something is less-than-efficient and you see a potential solution, you must convince decision-makers of the value of your idea.

Women's Leadership Series - Session 3: Setting Boundaries and Quieting Guilt (Boston)

Women leaders face unique challenges, including gender bias at work, carrying more childcare and home responsibilities than their male counterparts, and fewer opportunities for mentorship. These challenges often have adverse effects on work-life balance, which can lead to career dissatisfaction, exhaustion, and burnout. While some of the challenges that professional women face are beyond their direct control, others are internal and can be changed with awareness, shifting one’s mindset, and practicing new skills. These include difficulty with boundary setting and feelings of guilt—the sense that they should be spending more time at home when they’re at work and vice versa. This program will provide an opportunity for women leaders to connect with peers and practice new skills to set better boundaries and improve work-life balance.
